Terrace after terrace or along contour lines, carved out of schist, the Domaine de Fenouillet plots climb the finest slopes in the Faugères appellation. In the midst of unspoilt nature, Mediterranean vegetation flourishes: holm oaks, arbutus, broom, rockrose… and the delicate, aniseed-flavored fennel from which the estate takes its name.
THE ELEGANCE OF HIGH-ALTITUDE SCHISTS
Leaning against the last foothills of the Massif Central, the vines of Domaine de Fenouillet flourish on a relief of hills and narrow valleys. This singular topography creates high-altitude combes, small mid-slope terraces, where the estate’s finest wines are born. This is the secret of Domaine de Fenouillet: to assemble, like a goldsmith, unique, different parcels to produce elegant, refined wines.
